Raila’s interesting response after Uhuru invited him to watch golf

Uhuru promised to invite Raila for a game of golf

NASA leader Raila Odinga on Sunday watched the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open at the Muthaiga Golf Club where he had been invited by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The event went on well and marked the second meeting between Kenyatta and Odinga since their historic hand-shake.

After the event, Odinga noted that he had enjoyed watching the golf event but noted that he would rather stick to watching his favourite football club – Gor Mahia.

“It was nice watching the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open but I think I'll stick to watching the Mighty Gor Mahia,” he stated on his Facebook page.

The former Prime Minister, who is ardent football fan and player, had earlier caused a moment of laughter at the Muthaiga event

He joked that the golfing community should not think he had gate-crushed the event, adding that he had been invited by the President.

“I am not a gate-crusher. I came here at the invitation of the official guest – President Uhuru Kenyatta. I have enjoyed watching the talent here," the NASA leader stated.

President Kenyatta, who often plays golf, promised to invite Odinga for a round of golf.

The two leaders promised that sports would be one of the areas where they would work together to unite the country.
