EXCLUSIVE: Jamila Mohamed to join Rival station after quitting NTV

Jamila announced her exit from NTV on Wednesday night.

Details have now emerged that NTV's Jamila Mohamed will be joining Citizen TV after announcing her exit on Wednesday night.

Speaking exclusively to Pulselive.co.ke, a source at Nation Media Group (NMG) disclosed to this journalist that the renowned anchor would be joining SK Macharia's RMS after her long stint at NTV.

It's not yet clear whether Jamila will occupy a similar role at Citizen as she did in Nation Media Group.

Mohamed, who joined NTV in 2002, announced on Wednesday night that it would be her lost show in the media house.

Her colleagues seemed to be caught by surprise after she announced her departure.

"Its tough to see your best colleague leave... speechless and emotional when said thats her last on . Twakutakia mema uendapo," one Ben Shaw Ayieko wrote.

Linus Kaikai quits NTV

Her exit comes barely two weeks after her former boss and NTV's General Manager Linus Kaikai also quit the TV station.

Reports indicate that Kaikai will be a consultant at Citizen TV.
