What Maraga will do hours to Raila’s swearing in on Tuesday

Attorney General Githu Muigai announced that Odinga's swearing in ceremony was treasonous

The Supreme Court's final decision will come only a few hours before NASA leader Raila Odinga’s inauguration set for Tuesday.

The full judgement is expected to explain the reasoning that led to the Supreme Court to unanimously uphold President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win in the October 26 election.

Kenyatta’s win had been challenged in two petitions, one filed by politician Harun Mwau and another one by two activists –Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa.

The Constitution requires that the full judgement is delivered within 21 days from the date of the Supreme Court’s decision.

The announcement came at the same time that Maraga called on Kenyans called on leaders in all levels of government and Kenyans in general to uphold and protect the constitution.

The Chief Justice spoke a day after Odinga had insisted that he would go on with his planned swearing in ceremony, which the Attorney General described as “treasonable”.

"We will not be intimidated...our friends can advise us but they should not shout at us about violating of the constitution...constitution my foot," Odinga stated.
