Details of DP Ruto’s secret night activities

What DP Ruto has been doing at night after Uhuru called for an end to politicking

DP Ruto has resorted to preaching development during the day and holding political meetings at night in an attempt to floor his opponents after president Uhuru Kenyatta called for an end to politics and directing all elected leaders to focus on delivering the big 4 agenda.

Those invited during such events are carefully selected with perceived’ troublemakers’ left out. Case in point is Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu who was neither invited nor informed as the DP convened a night meeting with local leaders in Nanyuki.

In the last few days, the DP has held several night meetings with politics forming part of the agenda.

The nocturnal meetings begin at 8 with some lasting well past 1 AM.

Last week, the DP held a nocturnal meeting with leaders from Meru in which the elected leaders pledged to support his 2022 bid on condition that he picks his running mate from the region.

In attendance were MCAs from Meru, Mr Kiraitu Murungi, Prof Kindiki Kithure  and several MPs from the county.

A day later, the DP convened yet another night meeting attended by Governor Mutahi Kahiga, five MPs and 41 MCAs at Fairmont Hotel in Nanyuki in which he spent a considerable amount of time allaying fears of a fallout in Jublee.

The MPs included Kanini Kega (Kieni), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), Gichuki Mugambi (Othaya), Gichuhi Mwangi (Tetu) and Anthony Kiai (Mukurwei-ni).

The DP also met county speakers at his aren home last week at night with sources indicating that the DP now has his eyes trailed on meeting MCAs.
