I am not interested to serve in Ruto’s courtyard – Murkomen responds
Murkomen is not interested!
A report by a local daily on Friday purported that Mr. Murkomen was among other Jubilee leaders who are close confidants of Mr. Ruto and actively involved in strategizing his political path ahead of the 2022 General Election.
According to the paper, the alleged Ruto allies are regularly invited to closed-door meetings where they plan on how to hit back at politicians attacking the DP and also carry out political campaigns on Ruto’s behalf.
However, Mr. Murkomen dismissed the claims noting that in case a kitchen cabinet exits, he was too busy to carry out such a mandate.
Propaganda
"William Ruto is master of his own game. My plate is full and I am not interested in serving in his courtyard. I already have another job and he is able to employ his own strategists," he tweeted.
The senator insisted that the story was merely spreading propaganda stating: "Any intelligent Kenyan can see through this political propaganda disguised as inside story."
"This story is inviting us to a silly conversation but ‘I am not boarding’," he said.
At the same time, Murkomen noted that any political move he makes was on his own accord and never influenced by Mr. Ruto.
Responding to speculations of great rift in the Jubilee Party, Murkomen maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy were working in tandem.
The Senate Majority leader has in the recent past appeared for several TV interviews where he defended DP Ruto.
