Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Friday joined ODM's Benson Musungu for an elaborate campaign in Kibra Constituency, slamming MacDonald Mariga and other aspirants in the a by-election billed to be a battle between DP William Ruto and Raila Odinga.

In a convoy that traversed the constituency, Kuria urged residents to vote for Musungu in the ODM nominations and the November 07 by-election in which he will face off with Jubilee’s Macdonald Mariga.
Mamoth crowds lined up the streets to welcome Kuria, who went on the offensive against his own party’s candidate.
The lawmaker made it clear that he is opposed to Mariga’s candidature rallied voters to reject any attempts to impose a leader on them, insisting that Musungu is the only genuine candidat while all the rest are opportunistic political tourists.
His statement seem to target Mariga who claims to have Kibra at his heart yet reports indicate that he registered as a voter in Starehe two weeks before he was influenced by DP Ruto to declare interest in the seat.
Kuria is among several Jubilee lawmakers who have openly stated that they will support ODM in the Kibra by-election.
The seat which fell vacant following the death of Ken Okoth has given DP Ruto a chance to flex his political muscle by facing it out with Raila Odinga's ODM party candidate in a constituency that is perceived to be an ODM stronghold.
Also in te race is Eliud Owalo who decamped from ODM to Amani National Congress.
