MPs revenge on Gideon Moi over claims of thwarting DP Ruto’s meeting with Mzee Moi

Gideon Moi subjected to attacks in DP Ruto's presence

The burial of the late Baringo South MP Grace Kipchoim provided the perfect opportunity for the Baringo Senator to be subjected to numerous verbal attacks and humiliation as he watched.

Moi who was in attendance had to sit through a series of attacks with many speakers at the event hinting that he was no match to the well experienced DP who hustled his way to the top and who is the undisputed king of Rift Valley politics.

Among those leading the attack was Keiyo South MP Daniel Rono who made it clear that Gideon Moi has no place in the 2022 presidential  race as "Kenyans have already decided it is Ruto and that chapter has been closed".

The event which brought together DP Ruto and the Baringo Senator had Ruto’s men train their guns on the Senator as speaker after speaker bashed Moi for his alleged role in the botched meeting.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi disclosed that Moi is “fake because you (Moi) allowed an outsider Raila Odinga who opposed Jubilee during the previous election to greet your father yet you turned to lock outside your own brother (Ruto)".

Ruto was locked out of retired President Moi’s home last Thursday with conflicting reports emerging on why the DP failed to meet mzee Moi.

While Ruto’s handlers and allies maintained that the DP had secured an appointment with the former head of state, Moi’s granddaughter Laila Ibrahim hit out at the DP claiming he did not have an appointment as alleged.

"You don't just show up at someone's house unannounced", Laila said.

Earlier reports suggested that the meeting failed to take place as it coincided with Moi’s appointment with his doctor.

Sakaja had noted that "Sisi tumesikia uchungu sana kwa sababu ya ile aibu DP wetu alifanyiwa (We are very hurt by the embarrassment our DP was subjected to).
