Mr. Chebukati invited that Director of Public Prosecutions to probe any unlawful acts that could have been spearheaded by IEBC officials.
This the Electoral Body stated after some civil society groups, involved in monitoring the fresh presidential polls, alleged that there were anomalies in Garissa County.
According to the groups - under the Kura Yangu, Sauti Yangu banner - there were inconsistencies in the register and the number of valid votes cast.
The groups also claimed that there was a mathematical error with some presidential candidate getting additional votes while others having their numbers reduced.
For instance, the group purported that President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta had 100,000 votes scrapped from his 7.4 million votes.
Following this Chebukati asked DPP Keriako Tobiko to open investigations.
“We invite your office to undertake apt investigations on the allegations to ascertain the veracity of the allegations and subsequently institute criminal prosecution of any of the officials found culpable,” his letter to the DPP read in part.
The IEBC boss added: "I confirm our commitment to cooperate to expedite the investigations".
The groups further accused IEBC officials of being partisan and working to please the interests of certain parties during the fresh polls.
