In the controversial tweet, Ruto hit out at some of his critics as being inspired by the devil, claiming that God was on his side.

The post appeared shortly after an equally terse tweet where he appeared to have been responding to the Ipsos poll that ranked him as the most corrupt Kenya – in the perception of Kenyans.
“When my competitors are through with(mon-sun)sponsored headlines, paid opinion polls & fake news they are welcome to the real contest based on real mwananchi issues SGR, roads, connecting people to electricity, equipping our hospital &Tivets and matters water. Nawangojea huko,” he said.
