Itumbi's arrest is a sideshow, there's a plan to kill DP Ruto - Ichung'wa
Ichung'wa was flanked by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Nyali MP Mohammed Ali and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa as they showed solidarity with government official Dennis Itumbi who was arrested on Wednesday.
Itumbi is accused of circulating a controversial letter circulated online which outlined details of a plan to eliminate DP Ruto.
"What is of concern to us is the weaponization of all public institutions in the succession politics of our country. What is on trial today is not Dennis Itumbi or any letters, it is succession politics.
"It has become customary to criminalize anything or anyone who is seen to be associated in any way with William Ruto, the deputy president," the MP claimed.
