NASA leader Reveals Raila’s Text Messages plotting Wetangula’s downfall
This is according to ANC Secretary General Barrack Muluka.
In an interview on Jeff Koinange Live (JKL), Mr Muluka divulged that ODM politicians (who he did not name) displayed the messages to Mr Wetangula when the plan to remove him was still underway.
The political analyst noted that some of the messages before his ouster from the Senate Minority post.
"Wetangula has shown me some short text messages that had been sent to him by people within ODM and which started being sent before he was removed from that office.
"And these people were saying clearly that Baba (referring to Raila had told them that they should remove him,” he said.
Mr. Muluka further claimed that the messages revealed that the Opposition politicians were being urged to sign a memorandum to remove the Bungoma Senator.
"There were people who were being urged to sign the memorandum of removal," he said.
Raila is a betrayer
The ANC Secretary General insisted that Wetangula’s opinion of Mr Odinga that he was betrayer was a valid one.
"If we are together with you on a mission, we have agreed on certain things and behind my back, you go and start doing things that are contrary to that which we have agreed I think you need to cut me some slack if I start looking at you with different eyes," he said.
During the interview, Muluka outlined several instances Mr Odinga purportedly acted on behalf of NASA and its principals without consultations.
Muluka added that the National Resistance Movement, which NASA used to ask its followers to resist certain products claiming that the named companies were behind electoral fraud, was never a matter that the Opposition had fully agreed upon.
He further accused the former Prime Minister of bulldozing his way in the Alliance without being questioned.
