Plan to kick CJ Maraga out of office exposed

Led by ODM chairman John Mbadi, the legislator stated that the attacks on judges and magistrates were meant to weaken the judiciary adding that Maraga was the main target. "Let them go directly to the point. We know they are targeting Maraga so that they have friendly people in the Judiciary,” Mr. Mbadi, said during a press briefing where he was accompanied by 10 MPs.
Referring to Tuju's letter where he claimed that the judiciary was biased, Mbadi mentioned that NASA had lost many cases in court yet they had never threatened Judges or Magistrates.
Rapahel Tuju's protest letter to CJ David MaragaRuaraka MP To Kajwang' warned the nominated CS that he would one day regret his actions of attempting to suffocate the judiciary.“Mr. Tuju will one day need the independence of the Judiciary that he is now fighting to erode, and that time will be soon,” Mr. Kajwang’ affirmed.In his letter to Maraga, Tuju highlighted that the CJ almost burned the country when he annulled President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory after the August 8th election.

The Jubilee Party Secretary General accused judiciary of “bias, double standards, impunity and poor leadership."“My Lord, with all due respect, may I state the following, not to provoke you but to submit that no powers can be absolute… Irresponsible actions from the Judiciary, Executive or Parliament can burn this country – and with due respect, you almost succeeded in burning the country after August 8th Elections,” part of the letter read.
