“We are going to force them out of office by not paying subscriptions and we are going to mobilize all Jubilee MCAs to go and eject them from those offices so that they know Jubilee has its own owners.” The MCAs affirmed.

They further demanded that the ruling party should call for elections to kick out errant officials causing wrangles in the party and threatened to mobilize MCAs across the country to eject them from office.

Tuju is on record confirming that Jubilee party has no pact with anyone in regard to the 2022 presidential elections, revealing that the party would pick its candidate in a competitive and open process.

The remarks came in the wake of an uproar in Jubilee party after its former Vice Chair David Murathe made similar remarks, stating that DP Ruto should retire with President Kenyatta in 2022.

Murathe who eventually resigned from his role at the party threatened to go to the Supreme Court to bar the DP from succeeding President Kenyatta in 2022.

His remarks irked DP Ruto’s camp but attracted the support of veteran East Africa Legislative Assembly MP Maina Kamanda who stated that Murathe as merely expressing a position that is shared by may within Jubilee party.

A lot of people are relishing a contest against the Deputy President because they have loads of stuff against him which they are ready and willing to use against him,” he added.
