Jubilee's secret plan to separate Raila from Kalonzo and Mudavadi in 3 months

The new strategy by Jubilee aims at isolating Raila from Kalonzo and Mudavadi by 2018.

In the latest strategy aimed at scuttling the opposition unity, Jubilee is wooing Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Amani National Congress (ANC) boss Musalia Mudavadi along with their lieutenants to be part of the yet to be named President Uhuru Kenyatta's new government line-up.

According to The Nation, the sole aim is to portray ODM headed by Odinga as a bully driven only by selfish interests of their party members and boss.

Jubilee is riding on the disquiet and simmering rival tension that has been brought to the fore during the recent House Leadership appointments which have been largely dominated by ODM and has infuriated the other NASA-affiliated parties including Wiper and ANC.

The appointments have seen ODM grab all the Parliamentary Select Committee slots as well as the chairmanship of the powerful key watchdog house committees (Public Accounts Committee and Public Investments Committee).

Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi and his Mvita counterpart, Abdulswamad Nassir, both from ODM were elected members of the two committees leading to an uproar of discontent from the other parties especially ANC who according to them had been promised the slots.

National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale said Odinga’s co-principals in the opposition have the time till March to decide whether the former Prime Minister will retire from politics saying Odinga's retirement package was ready.

“We have no political intention, but his Nasa principals have up to March to decide on his political retirement or if he is running in 2022. That decision is important to them more than it is to Jubilee,” Duale said.

However, Mudavadi has said he will not abandon the opposition’s push for electoral justice, despite attempts by Jubilee to lure him into government.
