Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been warned to keep off Raila Odinga and instead work with like-minded individuals such as President Uhuru Kanyatta and Gideon Moi if he hopes to lead the country.

Addressing the press after a public forum, the spokesperson for a lobby group bringing together Professionals from the Ukambani region, Mr. Campbell Munyambu noted that Odinga cannot be trusted to back the Wiper party leader.

The lobby group stated that from all indications, Odinga would run in 2022 for yet another time and would not give the chance to the Wiper party leader who backed him in 2013 as well as in 2017.

“We would expect Raila to support Kalonzo for the presidency because he (Kalonzo) has supported him twice for the presidency.” Munyambu said.

“However, we are telling our leader not to bank on Raila’s support because he seems to be greedy with power,” he added.

Coming short of calling the former Prime Minister a greedy politician, Munyambu bashed Odinga for not giving others a chance to try their luck despite failing severally.

“We have supported Raila severally and he lost. People are now fatigued with his ambitions, it would be a waste of time to support him again because his support base has dwindled significantly,” he slammed.

Merger with KANU

The remarks come barely three days after the Wiper party boss made it clear that he will be on the ballot come 2022, vowing to clinch the seat.

“I will not only be a candidate but a formidable candidate and one who is poised to win,” Kalonzo said on Wednesday night.

During a recent fund raiser in Kitui where he was accompanied by Gideon Moi, Kalonzo hinted at a possible merger between Wiper and KANU, stating that the senior (Daniel) Moi had told him to work with Gideon.

“The senior Moi told me to work very closely with Gideon and president Uhuru. Soon you are going to see a merger between Kanu and Wiper”. Kalonzo said.
