Babu Owino publicly embarrasses Linturi after forging academic papers

Babu Owino humiliated the Meru Senator only minutes after UoN revoked Linturi's degree over forgery.

UoN, where Owino was the students' leader for several years, de-registered the Bachelor of Commerce degree awarded to Linturi for allegedly presenting fake papers to get admission into the institution.

Owino took to his Twitter page to ridicule the Meru Senator.

"So my friend Hon Mithika Linturi is an academic GMO #LinturiDegree," Owino tweeted.

He added, "Cant wait for comrade @MigunaMiguna's comment on #LinturiDegree".

Senator Linturi was one of the politicians blacklisted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for failing to pass the integrity test before the August 8 elections.

According to Linturi, he graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2001 but according to the EACC he is not a graduate of the University.

This is not the first time the senator has been caught in a similar predicament as in 2013, Linturi was accused of presenting forged academic documents to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in the 2013 elections.
