Willy Mutunga's tough question to Raila excites Kenyans
Interesting debate!
Mutunga responded to Odinga's statement that the orange party had decided to pick Ochilo Ayacko as its senatorial candidate in Migori through consultations.
The former Chief Justice rhetorically asked why Odinga could not pick the candidate through democratic primaries.
"Why not carry out democratic nominations through secret ballot?" Mutunga asked.
"CJ, that's like asking a hungry lion why it won't eat nutritious cabbage and lettuce. Heh!" political analyst and activist Benji Ndolo responded.
"That suggestion to the local politicians is tantamount to extracting milk and honey from a desert rock. Ni hayo tu," environmentalist Arcndge said.
Bentley Nango was more blunt, "He will not. He's the father of electoral manipulation.. When his turn comes to be manipulated he screams the loudest".
Suba Star replied by defending Odinga's decision, "ODM is a members club. Only duly registered members with cards would participate anyway, and its them who have decided thru a collegiate".
