Miguna Receives Heroic Welcome in Canada [VIDEO]

Miguna heroic welcome after deportation

Immediately after touch down Mr. Miguna was met by a jubilant group carrying placards and chanting Aluta Continua, a slogan Miguna uses frequently to mean the struggle continues.

"Aluta Continua! Aluta Continua! Welcome home Miguna,” they told the former Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant.

The Canadian-based lawyer was handed a bouquet of flowers by those at the airport. Others hugged him while some were excited to take videos and photos of the outspoken barrister and sollicitor.

Miguna refused to take any questions at the airport noting that he first needed to get home and rest after the eventful week in Kenya.

"I am tired. Today I want to take a shower. I have not showered for the last six days maybe seven days.

"So I want to take a good shower, hug my wife and children. Then eat probably then I can talk about anything," Miguna said when a reporter sought an interview with him.

The Government deported the lawyer stating that he was a Canadian Citizen after renouncing his Kenyan Citizenship.

However, Mr Miguna rubbished the claims noting that he would never renounce his Citizenship.

"I never renounced my citizenship; Canada does not require anybody to renounce their citizenship before you pick the passport," he said.
