Police officer threatens to shoot Orengo at JKIA
Drama at JKIA as Miguna returns.
The officer approached Orengo as he was addressing the press and warned him to stop or he would shoot him, Nation reports.
"It is a shame that this kind of thing is happening in this country. The drama was a culmination of the 9-hour stand-off between Miguna Miguna and State after he landed at the airport and denied entry into the country.
Later in the midnight, State officers attempted to deport Miguna again to Dubai but the general as popularly known, fought off officers and refused to board the plane until it took off.
NASA Leader Raila Odinga, who was also present, could not help solve the stand off between the Government officers and miguna. Citizen TV journalists injured: Stephen Letoo and Sophia WanunaJournalists who were covering the event were not spared as Citizen TV's Stephen Letoo and KTN's Sophia Wanuna were injured.
Letoo has since been treated and discharged. Government says Miguna declined to produce passport upon arrival at JKIAThe spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and Coordination, Mwenda Njoka claimed that Miguna Refused to produce the passport he traveled in upon arrival at JKiA.
"The Government has not denied Miguna Miguna entry into the country. Upon arrival atJKIA he was asked to present the passport he travelled in."He declined. It is a requirement under law & IATA regulations for travellers to show the documents they travelled in at the point of entry," part of Njoka's statement read.
