A recording of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko confronting Businessman and owner of the contested Kayole land Mike Maina was released online.
Governor Sonko hurled insults at the City tycoon and accused him of using fake documents to claim ownership of the 20-acre parcel of land in Kayole.
When confronted by Governor Sonko Mr Maina defended himself arguing that he had tried to solve the dispute by the matter had been dragged in court.
An impatient Sonko proceeded to admonish and insult Mr Maina and accused him of taking over public property.
He further dared the businessman to go to Kayole arguing that his actions had left Kenyan families out in the cold during the festive season.
The demolition orders emanated from suit No.457 filed at the Environment and Land Court by Muthithi Investment Limited against 23 individuals in 2013.
The orders said the eviction would be supervised by the Inspector General of Police, the Nairobi County Coordinator, Kayole OCS and OCPD.
However, on Thursday, Sonko halted the demolition of buildings in the country, including those built on disputed parcels of land.
The County boss issued the orders after a phone call with President Uhuru Kenyatta and later met with families whose houses have been demolished recently, including owners of homes demolished in Nyama Villa estate in Kayole.
He later visited Kayole area where he forced out bulldozers hired by private developers to bring down houses on the disputed land.
