Moses Kuria throws shade, deletes post after Uhuru Kenyatta's Kameme FM cancelled his interview

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Sunday evening took a jibe at President Uhuru Kenyatta after his interview was cancelled by the Kenyatta-family-owned radio station – Kameme FM.

Kuria, who has taken a rare anti-Kenyatta tone in his speeches, decried that Ruto’s allies had recently had their interviews cancelled at Kameme FM.

I stand for freedom of media but media has to decide whether they want to stick to media or politics. Hon MCA Ikonya, Rigathi Gachagua and Kimani Ichungwa had their interviews cancelled in the past. Now it’s my turn. Bizarre! Haisuru. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” he posted on his social media.

The post was shortly after pulled down after which the legislator posted a banner announcing the cancellation of his interview scheduled for today (Monday) morning.

The second post was accompanied by a cryptic Kikuyu proverb, Indo cienye cindire ndokerwo nuu (you cannot count on something that you do not own).

Kuria later announced that he had been invited for an interview with Kameme’s rival station, Inooro FM which is owned by Royal Media Services.

The Gatundu South MP, despite being President Kenyatta’s MP and longtime ally, has recently come out as a key critic of the head of state after he accused him of plotting to use the BBI to extend his term.

While attending the BBI launch presided over by President Kenyatta, Kuria sarcastically tweeted that he was attending the ODM delegates conference.
