Go to Kisumu and see what Anyang' Nyong'o is doing - Moses Kuria advises Sonko

"The traffic jams in this city can drive anyone insane," Moses Kuria says.

Mr Kuria, who was in Kisumu recently, lauded Governor Nyong’o for cleaning the city, but would later juxtapose it with the ‘dirty’ Nairobi, demanding that Sonko should focus on ending traffic, cleaning and implementing the city light rail service.

“Nairobi will lose its regional competitiveness unless we have a functional public transport system. And this is not about building more roads. It’s about ensuring we have a system that brings into and out of the city the highest number of people with the highest standards of convenience. The traffic jams in this city can drive anyone insane,” Mr Kuria opined.

He added: “If I were Governor Mike Sonko I would suspend all programs and just focus on three things, namely; keep Nairobi clean. Perhaps visit Kisumu for a benchmark. Kisumu is incredibly clean. Governor Anyang Nyong’o is working, secondly, Implement the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and implement intra city Light Rail system.”

Moses Kuria last weekend received an arousing welcome in Kisumu and in a visit where he condemned legislators undermining the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

Mr Kuria, who said that he has embarked on a mission to promote peace and unity, noted that the handshake has had a great impact on the nation and as a result should be embraced by all.

“Only a stupid man can criticize the new found peace that we are currently enjoying as a result of the handshake,” said the MP.
