Wetangula takes on Raila in morning tweet

Weta vs Raila

Wetangula, who was responding to a statement by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna daring him to make his threats of quitting NASA true by officially writing to the Registrar of Political Parties, expressed his anger over the dressed down.

The Ford-Kenya party leader accused Mr Odinga of using Sifuna to hurl abuses at him describing the act as unhelpful.

Wetangula went on to challenged the former Prime Minister to channel his energy on dealing with issues of Government appointments raised by his tribesmen instead of attacking him.

“Instead of responding to issues of appointments from his tribe ODM leader using upstart surrogates to hurl abuses at Weta. Very unhelpful!” Wetangula tweeted.

He added: "Having abandoned it's opposition role, Odm turns it's guns on its partners. despicable! shame! let the inanity reign like the Tower of Babel."

Here are the reactions:

On Tuesday, Mr Sifuna also dared Wetangula to ask his Ford-Kenya members to relinquish positions they have acquired in parliament by the mere fact they were in NASA.

ODM Secretary-General's statement came a day after terming the NASA as a dead coalition.

"Nasa is a moribund organisation. It is history and we always say that those who ignore history run the risk of repeating it.

"We were in Nasa but suffered a massive betrayal by our presidential candidate and as a party we are now focused on how to strengthen our grassroots support," Wetangula said in Mtwapa, Kilifi County.
