Marwa, whose wife is a county employee, claims that they have both received death threats.
The legislator claims that the alleged claims have been motivated by a feud over Sh516 million granted by the World Bank for development projects.
Marwa has been at the forefront in advocating for the creation of a new county that will separate Kuria people and the Luo community in the county.
The two politicians clashed after Marwa claimed that the funds had been allocated to areas that were predominantly Dholuo.
Governor Obado, however, stated that he had no say over which towns were picked for the development projects.

"My wife has been dragged into this and she is now being targeted at the county government for allegedly being responsible for the heckling of the governor in Kuria East.
"Unknown people have been going to her office several times to eject her," Marwa stated.
Governor Obado's press director Nicholas Anyuor has maintained that the Governor is not using his supporters to threaten the MP.
