“I snatched your wife” Angry Sonko tells Nairobi teacher

Sonko woke up to a story alleging bad blood between him and his deputy Polycarp Igathe.
He immediately took to his Facebook page where he denied the story and castigated the two journalists who had initially reported on the matter.
In a rare move, the Nairobi Governor shared a total of twenty two screenshots showing private communication with Igathe.

Sonko stated that the lengthy whatsapp conversations were meant to show his cordial working relationships with his deputy.
As a section of his social media followers his decision to share private communication with a senior government official, Sonko defended himself and used responded with uncharacteristically harsh responses.
One Facebook user, Peter Lutukayi, claimed that the challenges facing the Nairobi City boss emanated from having a more educated deputy.
The comment did not augur well with Sonko who quickly replied, “Si hata wewe bibi yako na girlfriend yako ambae nlikunyanganya wamesoma kukushinda (Even you, I snatched your wife and girlfriend who are more educated than you),”.
