Leaders of the National Super Alliance (NASA) are set to unveil a series of events that are meant to kick President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy out of power.

According to The Star, the coalition intends to enhance street protests to force Jubilee to the negotiation table and ultimately force President Kenyatta to resign, paving way for fresh polls.

The opposition also intends to enhance the economic boycott to bring companies perceived to be friendly to the regime on their knees.

The series of events also include an ambitious mission to build consensus with global leaders and gaining their support in the hope that they will prevail upon the Jubilee administration to come to the negotiation table.

The climax of the series of events will be the swearing in of the opposition chief Raila Odinga s the “People’s President”.

Should the above fail to achieve the desired results, the opposition will champion for secession. The coalition will also work closely with County assemblies that have passed the People’s Assembly bill.

A retreat is planned for mid-January to chart the way forward and set the events in motion with the objective being the achievement of electoral justice and forcing President Kenyatta to step down.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairman John Mbadi confirmed the upcoming retreat, adding that “the retreat is meant to push the NASA agenda and ensure its teams understand each other, the activities ahead and the endgame of everything being put in place”.

During the retreat, the principals will also address the rifts within the coalition that have been witnessed in the recent past.
