The 2 conditions Raila issued to his co-principals just before the meeting started

Some of the leaders in the meeting were asked to leave.

Odinga also demanded that the meeting only be graced by the co-principals and four NASA co-ordinating committee co-chairs who included: Sakwa Bunyasi, and Johnson Muthama. Other leaders who had accompanied their principals like Kivutha Kibwana, Boni Khalwale and Barrack Muluka were asked to leave. The decision was as a result of dwindling trust between the NASA principals especially after the Friday meeting between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Raila told to explain his meeting with President KenyattaThe former premier was hard pressed to explain why he met and struck a deal secretly with Kenyatta. Wetangula, Kalonzo and Mudavadi told Odinga that he had betrayed them by holding talks with the Head of State for a month without informing them. However, Odinga persuaded the co-principals that the deal was in their best interest for NASA considering the woes they were facing. He stated that Kenyatta had shown willingness to work with him emphasizing that they had to change tact.

Odinga intimated that it was easier to advocate for changes from inside Jubilee citing the diminishing chances of holding new elections.A source privy to the meeting divulged that restoring of MPs security and wavering of medical bills for NASA supporters who were injured during demos was part of the pre-conditions Odinga issued to Kenyatta before agreeing to work with him.
