"If there is no justice for the people, let there be no peace for the government," he stated.

Under the Parliamentary wing, there would be what Odinga termed as a People's Assembly that would comprise of elected leaders, religious leaders, workers, and civil society.

The NASA leader also announced that the Opposition would be creating task force that would look at the weakness of the government and make recommendations that would be ratified into law by County Assemblies.

Among the issues to be looked into included the integrity of the electoral commission.

The proposed powerful body does not have any lawful grounding in the existing legal framework and the former presidential candidate declined to clarify how it would be formed.

"We today announce the establishment of a People's Assembly which will exist until the legitimate presidency is formed," Odinga stated.

At the same time, the Opposition Chief reiterated his earlier position that the October 26 election was a sham, even accusing media houses of coming up with fraudulent tallies that maintained a 99 percent gap between him and Kenyatta.
