5 more Gv't officials arrested after DPP’s Morning Order

They are being arrested over irregular purchase of maize NCPB

Reports indicated that those arrested are former Managing Director at NCPB Newton Terer and four other officials.

Nine more suspects are still at large. others on the list of those to be arrested in Eldoret are NCPB Eldoret depot officials and farmers. This comes hours after Agriculture Principal Secretary Richard Lesiyampe was also nabbed in the morning.

The Ethics Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) said that they had apprehended Lesiyampe and NCPB GM Finance, Cornel Kiprotich Ng'elechey.

The EACC added that 15 other senior officials and prominent traders are also being sought over the maize scandal.

The government officials on the list of those to be arrested and charged are;
