Controversial details emerge minutes after Wetangula’s removal

IS Wetangula in or out?

It emerged that the removal of Mr. Wetangula was against a letter by National Super Alliance  (NASA) CEO Norman Magaya dictating his retention in the position.

Divulging the information ODM Communication Director Philip Etale was first to disclose the message.

In a tweet Etale stated: “NASA CEO  (Norman Magaya) sent a letter to the Speaker on the Communication of the SUMMIT on the status of the position of the Leader of Minority in the Senate”.

According to Mr. Magaya, the Bungoma senator was still the holder of the position.

"The Communication is that  is still the holder of the position. Mr. Magaya says that is the position," the tweet continued.

This comes after 19 ODM Senator voted for the removal of Mr Wetangula. The lawmakers approved that he be replaced with Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Mr. Orengo will be deputized Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.
