Joho’s urgent letter to Kalonzo
The NASA coalition has in the past few months been rocked with internal wrangles from its four constituent parties.
In the letter, Joho took issue in his capacity as ODM Deputy Party Leader of the utterances made by Wiper's Deputy Party Leader Farah Maalim during a popular morning talk show which the orange party took offence of.
Maalim allegedly said that NASA leader Raila Odinga should retire and be a kingmaker which ODM took offensive to their party leader and the party itself.
The Wiper Deputy is also said to have called NASA as "dead as a dodo".
"In as much as i would like to remind you that NASA has other partners besides Wiper, the ODM leadership feels that we should first seek clarification from you as the WDM leader on whether Hon. Farah's remarks reflect the stand of your party. Kindly respond urgently so that we know how to engage WDM going forth," the letter signed by Joho read.
The NASA coalition has in the past few months been rocked with internal wrangles from its four constituent parties of ODM, Wiper, Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress.
The main cause of friction has been the sharing of house leadership positions in Parliament, the latest being the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).
The internal wrangles stepped a notch higher when the NASA co-principals Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula skipped Odinga's swearing-in as the People's President at Uhuru Park on January 31.
However the principals have maintained a brave face in public insisting that the coalition remains united despite the internal rivalries.
