A key Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Chairman has died.

Tom Dola, who was the Vice Chairman ODM party Homabay County Branch died under unknown circumstances.

Divulging the news Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’ described Dola’s demise as a sudden one.

"Tom Dola, the veteran politician from Karachuonyo, died suddenly today. We've lost a man with a big heart and a firm conviction. I used to consult with him. My condolences to his family and friends," he said.

At the time of reporting Pulselive.co.ke could not independently verify what led to the death of Dola.

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale also mourned Dola as a dedicated politician.

"Ooh! I recall how during your by-election Tom Dola tirelessly coordinated our ground team (Muthama, Orengo & I) with immense dedication & success. RIP our brother," he tweeted.

During the run up to the 2017 General Election, the ODM Vice Chairman was eying the Karachuonyo Parliamentary seat but he lost during the nominations to the now elected legislator Anderson Ojwang'.
