Reports were leaked to the media concerning his 32-storey twin towers that are set to raise the tourist-appeal of Meru County.
His publicised association with high-profile politicians including deputy president William Ruto, Governor Kiraitu Murungi, Governor Muthomi Njuki and others, raised suspicions over how the preacher would fund the project.
"The DP has not funded this project at all. I have been helped by my close personal friends.
History With Ruto
"Ruto is a friend and I've been praying for him even at the time of his ICC case but he didn't even know about my project until it was published on Business Daily.
"He actually called me today [Thursday] and congratulated me on the project, he told me that he had seen I'm doing great things here," the Bishop told this reporter.
Excited about his upcoming project, Bishop Kiogora conveyed that it will be completed in the next two years urging members of the public to buy in.
"I have no idea how journalists caught wind of this project because I was planning to do an official groundbreaking at a later date.
"There have been some inaccurate reports about details of the towers but let me say I'm proud that it will be taller than even KICC at 32 floors, it will surely raise the status of Meru County," he told Pulse Live.
Bishop Kiogora is also the proprietor behind Destiny TV, Destiny FM, Jesus House of Praise Church and some schools.
