ODM delegates issue demand to Raila to dump Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi

Delegates tell Raila to end NASA union with Wiper, Ford Kenya and ANC

Confidential sources have revealed that during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Governing Council held on Thursday and Friday, delegates piled pressure on Raila Odinga to terminate the union with immediate effect.

According to the delegates, the union was no longer of any value after the co-principals failed to attend Odinga’s 'swearing in' which was the key event.

The frequent clashes between the party and its partners Wiper Party, Ford Kenya and Amani National Congress also left the delegates feeling that the union had come to its end.

However, the NASA boss reigned in and blocked any further discussions on the issue, stating that “it was too early to make such a major decision and called for patience on the part of the members”.

Instead of bowing to the demands of the delegates, Odinga established a taskforce to look into the relationship of ODM and its coalition partners and come up with recommendations that will advance the interests of the party.

A source revealed to Nation that Odinga urged the delegates to “see this coalition (NASA) like a large traditional family where there are varying interests and sibling rivalries. You must also see it as a marriage. Not all marriages are blissful”.
