Raila reveals his relationship with Uhuru Kenyatta after August elections

Raila was finally forced to divulge the interesting relationship between him and Uhuru.

Mr Odinga was on a trip to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Mausoleum in Bondo with his granddaughter.

As they were examining pictures on the walls, his granddaughter asked, "Uncle Oburu and Uhuru Kenyatta, they're friends?"

"Uhuru came here," Mr Odinga answered.

"They're friends?" she asked again.

"Yeah."

"Even now?"

"Yeah."

Strolling further, they continued a back and forth asking what many of us have been wondering since their political rivalry deepened in 2017.

On footage shared by Citizen TV Kenya, the opposition leader explained that he has no qualms with President Uhuru Kenyatta as a person.

Their family has a long shared history with Uhuru's father, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta spending time with Raila's father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga in their homes in Bondo and Kisumu.

"Jaramogi used to go and stay in Gatundu," Odinga added.

The extensive course of their familial history can't be erased or ignored despite any tensions between Uhuru and Raila.

"We only differ in politics," Mr Odinga clarified.
