Miguna spills the beans
The Canadian-based lawyer was deported to Canada under controversial circumstances after he administered the oath of office to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga as the People’s President.
Speaking during his first meeting in Washington DC, Dr. Miguna revealed Mr. Odinga’s advice that influenced his decision to reject NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula, who were conspicuously absent at the swearing-in ceremony held at Uhuru Park on January 30, 2018.
In his speech, the fiery lawyer stated that the former Prime Minister once told him that hypocrites are the swine of history.
“When recently the NASA principals failed to show up at Uhuru Park, it was lack of integrity in politics beyond even cowardice and hypocrisy And Jakom (referring to Raila) tells me that hypocrites are the swine of history, I am quoting him verbatim.
“So, therefore, you know what he thinks of the hypocrites,” he said.
The NRM General emphasized that he would never play with hypocrites hinting at what prompted his decision to reject Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Mudavadi.
Mr. Miguna is on the record using appalling words to castigate the three NASA principals for skipping Mr. Odinga’s swearing-in ceremony.
During his address in Washington, Mr. Miguna explained that the Opposition formed the much-disputed NRM group in a bid to fight the lack of integrity in Kenyan politics.
"Raila Odinga won the August 8 General Election so there was no need to form a political party. We said Raila Odinga you have won the election and they have refused to give you the victory so there is no need for elections," Miguna said explaining why NRM was formed.
Miguna who is expected in the country to appeared before the court emphasized that the Government does not have a solid case against him.
He insisted that the Government cannot prove he illegally swore Mr. Odinga to the office as the results in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers were never released.
