The only 2 international leaders who congratulated Raila on swearing in

International community congratulates Raila

Although the planners had hinted at an elaborate ceremony with various international guests, the reality was a little different after Odinga’s deputy Kalonzo Musyoka failed to show up at the event.

Despite the hiccups, Odinga has since then received congratulatory messages from two daring international leaders.

Ugandan Opposition Leader Kizza Besigye, who took a similar parallel oath in 2016, congratulated the NASA leader on becoming the People’s President.

“No one can doubt that these people have their president- People’s President! A result of election results that aren’t believable. Making the point an important part of the struggle for democratic transition,” Besigye stated on his Twitter account.

Fire-spitting South African politician Julius Malema, was not left behind in congratulating Odinga on his new-found status.

Malema, who is the leader of the opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), hailed the event as a demonstration of the people’s will.

“Congratulations the people’s President of Kenya , no amount of fraud will undermine the will of the people forever,” he stated.
