DP Ruto to meet angry Jubilee Party supporters in Bomet
Jubilee leaders have met anger from the residents
Several leaders from the region have led a series of onslaught at the government, demanding more appointments to the cabinet after the region voted overwhelmingly for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Elected leaders led by Governor Joyce Laboso have had a hard time explaining to the residents why the region was left out with Infrastructure principal secretary John Mosonik being dropped from the new cabinet.
Energy CS Charles Keter recently face the wrath of disappointed residents after they put him to task to explain to the residents why the county had been left out of the new cabinet despite voting overwhelmingly for Kenyatta.
During the tour, the DP is expected to prevail upon his disgruntled supporters not to abandon him ahead of his 2022 bid.
Baringo senator Gideon Moi has also been making inroads into the Rift Valley vote block aided by Jubilee party rebel MPs.
During today’s visit, Ruto is expected to launch different projects in the county before addressing a rally at Silibwet stadium.
This will be the first time that the DP will be in the county after the hotly contested presidential elections.
