Raila's team issues fresh instructions to his supporters

The announcement came as President Kenyatta presided over a ceremony at Kasarani Stadium

Lone released a press statement on Tuesday where he explained the decision to postpone Odinga's swearing in ceremony.

He stated that the swearing in ceremony would only have been symbolic and would have had little impact on their dreams of an Odinga presidency.

"Those sworn in were not going to have command of the nation’s armed forces, or of the Treasury. Raila and NASA’s greatest strength is the number of Kenyans who back them," Lone's statement read in part.

Odinga's long serving aide further called on NASA supporters to be ready to support the new tactics that will be issued by their leaders.

He indicated that among the new tactics that the NASA team could consider included economic boycotts, mass demonstrations, and reliance on NASA affiliated county governments.

"Whether as a symbolically sworn-in president or as NASA leader, he can call them to assemble or demonstrate peacefully to back up justified demands that could paralyze government and business. Biting economic boycotts could still be organized against more business operations that support dictatorship or other unlawful actions. County governments and Governors can enhance security and economic opportunities," Lone stated.

He further called on envoys who had opposed the swearing in ceremony, to equally push President Uhuru Kenyatta to agree to dialogue with the Opposition.
