ODM responds after Raila's aide was linked to violence in Zimbabwe
Did ODM send Jakakimba to Zimbabwe?
Jakakimba, who is Raila Odinga's aide, is linked to the violent protests that took place in Zimbabwe after the just concluded election.
Jakakimba is being pursued by Zimbabwean authorities for allegedly entering the country illegally.
In a report by The Sunday Mail the former Homa Bay Senatorial aspirant is linked to the violent protests that saw the army kill at least four protesters.
Odinga’s aide was said to have been part of the inner circle of MDC Alliance’s presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa.
On Tuesday, the Orange Party stated that Jakakimba’s trip to Zimbabwe was conducted independently.
“ODM Executive Director has clarified that the party did not sent Mr. to Harare last week on any mission in the just concluded General Election which saw the incumbent Emerson Mnangagwa declared the winner in the hotly contested Presidential election,” the ODM Party tweeted.
However, Jakakimba did not receive ODM’s message kindly and stated: "Whoever is posting these kinds of NONSENSE on The ODM Party's handle is a complete neanderthal. You should go back to school!"
