Out of the ten, only two are women – journalist Asha Mwilu and film producer Alison Ngibuini.

Mwilu is a Citizen TV reporter who won the CNN African Journalist of the Year in 2016.
Ngibuini is also a high achiever with sits on the board of the Kenya National Theatre.
She has been involved in popular films such as Siri and Shuga as well as the Zain Africa Challenge.
On Ngunyi’s radar are four Kenyan politicians – President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale.

The analyst also follows two organisation which he heads, East African Resilience Hub (a think tank) and the Fort Hall School of Government through which he produces the popular video column Fifth Estate.
Pope Francis is also one of the personalities followed by Ngunyi while veteran Ugandan journalist and Nation columnist Charles Onyango-Oboo adds to the list to make a complete count of ten.
The analyst does not hide the fact that he is very specific on the people he follows, expecting high-level intellectual discourse.
