In the changes, the president has nominated former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) alongside former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Prof. Olive Mugenda and Patrick Gichohi who has been serving as a commissioner in the Public Service Commission.
President Kenyatta nominated former Mandera Central Member of Parliament Abdikadir Mohammed as the Ambassador to South Korea. Prior to his appointment, he served as a Senior Advisor to the president of Kenya on Constitutional and legal affairs.
He also nominated Kennedy Ogeto as Solicitor General and appointed Njee Muturi as Deputy Chief of Staff. Njee Muturi previously served as the Solicitor General in the Government of Kenya while Kennedy Ogeto is one of the lawyers who represented President Uhuru Kenyatta in the International Criminal Court.
The president nominated Judge Paul Kihara Kariuki who has been serving as President of the Appellate Court to replace the outgoing Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai.
