Waiguru sent home Roads CEC Peter Karugumi and Judy Kinyua of Gender for a period of two months after they were reportedly found to be inefficient and incompetent.
The governor made the move a few days after warning members of her cabinet and other senior officials to ensure that they report on time for proper service to Kirinyaga residents.

Karugumi was among those who were personally mentioned by the governor in lagging behind in achieving the set targets.
The Roads CEC whose six month target was to do 217 kilometres of road but was far from realising it.
“Unless we see meaningful changes within the stipulated time frame, I will have no alternative than to crack the whip for the sake of Wanjiku who gave us these jobs to serve her,” she warned.
Meanwhile, Embu communications officer Mutugi Njue and Hansard reporter Daizy Rutere have been suspended for allegedly revealing MCAs' Sh11m gym subscription budget.
