According to Wiper Secretary Genaral Peter Mathuki, the main agenda of their meeting will be the discussing the way forward for 2022 Presidential race.
“This thing (swearing-in) is diversionary. It should not take a lot of our time. As a party, we must remain focused on 2022. These other issues become diversionary. People want to make it diversionary for us to lose focus. We cannot,” SC Peter Mathuki.
He added that wiper supports the NASA’s decision to 'swear-in’ Odinga, and later, Musyoka.
Mathuki stated that they will not drift away from Wiper’s main focus of addressing the 2022 State House race.
“Of course we know that Kalonzo will be sworn in as the people’s deputy president after Mr Odinga. But what we really look forward to is for him to be sworn in as the President of Kenya in 2022,” added Mathuki.
The Wiper Party meeting comes amidst speculation that the failure of the three principals to show up at Raila’s inauguration was assign that they are trying to shift away from Odinga ahead of the 2021 race.
Odinga took 'oath’ on January 30 as the “Peoples president” before an ecstatic crowd at Uhuru Park.
