The Siaya Senator had sensationally referenced to the Elgeyo Marakwet senator as an "idiot" and even made disparaging remarks about Murkomen's father.
"Can Murkomen really claim to be in government and the evictions are ongoing and he has no answer except to blame Raila? If there is any man who sired an idiotic child, then Murkomen's father is one," Orengo said of his colleague.
In an uncharacteristic response, the Senate Minority Leader responded by a debate on who fathered what child should be held between fathers.

"Senator Orengo is slightly older than my dad. Orengo was elected to Bunge in 1979, the year I was born. A debate of who gave birth to what kind of a child can only be between Orengo and my dad. I would like to respect Orengo’s children and their achievements even though I don’t know them," Murkomen said on his twitter account.
