Brutal way Mildred Odira was murdered
The injuries on her forehead, cheeks and the neck were reportedly inflicted when she was seated upright, according to the pathologist report.
“The cause of death was the injury on the forehead, it looks like she was hit by a hammer and after she was dead then placed on the road for vehicles to run over her,” Suba North lawmaker Millie Odhiambo, who had accompanied her family said.
"The autopsy also showed that the injuries on her limbs occurred after "she was run over by a car and not knocked down,” she added.
Ms Odira left her Kariobangi South home at 4am last week on Tuesday, January 29, saying she was going to Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital to seek treatment.
After failing to communicate with her family, they visited the hospital to check on Ms Odira but they did not find her which prompted them to report her disappearance.
The taxi driver, Davis Ochieng', who had picked up Ms Odira on the fateful morning, told police that he took her to the hospital in Ruaraka, waited for her for slightly over an hour before he decided to leave.
However, his story is being challenged by sleuths who after obtaining CCTV footage from the hospital were informed that no patient with that name was received at the hospital.
Additionally, the CCTV footage from the exterior cameras captured a black Mazda Carol with registration number KCR 388T, arrive at 4:33am, make a U-turn and then left without dropping off the passenger.
The driver was captured on CCTV footage driving away from the hospital and patting his chest with a client in the rear seat who is believed to be Ms Odira.
