President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday posted a condolence message to Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman who lost his father, Mzee Abdi Aman.

In the condolence message, President Kenyatta described Mzee Aman as a patriarch who was a role model and a mentor to many.
“Mzee Aman was a strong pillar to his family, an elder whose counsel and words of wisdom will be missed by many.

"Indeed as a respected member of the community, he was a reference point on many on issues of life.
“In this hour of sorrow, I convey my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives and friends,” the President noted.
Father to former PS
Mzee Aman was also the father to former Permanent Secretary in the office of the Prime Minister Dr Mohamed Isahakia who was forced to resign by former President Mwai Kibaki in 2010.
Dr Isahakia was entangled in a number of controversial graft cases including Sh11.4 million at the National Museums of Kenya. He was also allied to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“It is my prayer that the Almighty God will give you the strength and courage to bear the loss,” the President condoled.
President Kenyatta eulogized Mzee Aman as a champion for education who ensured that all his children acquired quality education.
The President said Mzee Aman will be fondly remembered as an outstanding and gifted person whose legacy will live on for many generations to come.
