Uhuru mourns prominent businessman

The business tycoon died last night

President Uhuru Kenyatta sent a message of condolence after the death of a prominent Murang’a businessman who passed on last night.

Thayu Kamau Kabugi was hailed by the President for being a strong-willed person who helped in the growth of the Kenyan economy.

The Head of State described Kabugi as a true patriot and a nationalist who created job opportunities through his businesses.

Uhuru's message

Indeed, he was a nationalist who believed in hard work and building strong bonds of friendship,” the President stated.

He was exceptional in his commitment to both business and community development as demonstrated by his contribution to several community projects,” he added.

Additionally, the President noted that Mr Kabugi had given hope to Kenyans and opportunities to own homes through his real estate ventures.

In 2018, during an awarding ceremony at State House President Kenyatta honoured Mr Kabugi with the prestigious Moran of Elder of the Burning Spear (EBS).
