President Uhuru Kenyatta has received the Covid-19 vaccine, photos from State House indicate.

The President took the jab on a day when he delivered his 15th Presidential address on the Covid-19 pandemic.

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta was also inoculated alongside the President in a move that comes days after MPs called for a public show of confidence in the vaccine.

State House confirmed that the President and First Lady took the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.

A number of CSs also joined the President in taking the vaccine, among them: Mutahi Kagwe (Health), Raychelle Omamo (Foreign Affairs) and Dr Fred Matiang'i (Interior).
