President Uhuru Kenyatta rewards former Citizen TV anchor Hussein Mohamed with MBS

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday awarded former Citizen TV presenter Hussein Mohamed with a national medal designating him as a Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear.

The honour was conveyed through a special Gazette Notice published on December 20, almost two months after the journalist quit his job with Royal Media Services.

The award came on the day that Hussein also graduated from University of Nairobi with a Masters degree in Diplomacy.

Hussein was listed as the 60th person in list which also included ANC party leader and former Vice President Musalia Mudavadi's wife, Tessie Mudavadi.

Citizen TV's sports anchor Mike Okinyi and Citizen Wikendi guest relationship advisor Bi Mswafari also received a Head of State Commendation in the civilian category.

Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Director General Pavel Oimeke was honoured with the Elder of the Burning Spear commendation.
